How God helps us through loss

Dave Schnitter & Amy Rohrmoser · 2026-07-26
Peace of Mind

Have compassion on me, Lord, for I am weak. Heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony. I am sick at heart. How long, O Lord, until you restore me? Return, O Lord, and rescue me. Save me because of your unfailing love ... I am worn out from sobbing. All night I flood my bed with weeping, drenching it with my tears. My vision is blurred by grief; my eyes are worn out ... [but] the Lord has heard my weeping. The Lord has heard my plea; the Lord will answer my prayer.

Psalm 6:2-4+6-9 (NLT)

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted … To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

Isaiah 61:1+3 (CSB)
